RedStateVT First to Name Sestak Scandal

RedStateVT announces today that it is the first major media outlet to officially name the crime now best described as “Clinton – Obama Try to Bribe Sestak Not To Run For Specter’s Seat.” Every scandal needs a handy shorthand and RedStateVT is proud to step up and do the honors.

In naming a scandal, there are typically two monikers that receive consideration. The suffix “-gate” is the most well known and handiest. However, “The _____Affair” is also widely used and accepted. As we deliberated, RedStateVT felt that Bill Clinton must be recognized in the scandal given his marquee role. Our first choice, therefore, was “The Clinton Affair.” After further consideration, however, we realized that this was not specific enough. Which Clinton affair? How to differentiate? Instead, we decided that simpler is better and have officially chosen “Bribegate.”

Notwithstanding the Obama Administration’s attempt to bury Bribegate before the Memorial Day weekend, Bribegate is alive and well. More to follow on Bribegate!
