In the days since Mr. Obama nominated her, much has been made of Ms. Kagan’s tenure as dean, and her top-to-bottom transformation of Harvard Law School. We love these hard hitting investigative pieces that the New York Times and others run whenever a Dem president nominates a Supreme Court judge. We get to learn that the nominee loves to cook, reads 16th century French poetry and follows the local sports team. And when it’s a Repub nominee? Then they are picking through their trash can, interviewing waiters to see what kind of tips they left and following them to see if they signal before changing lanes.
