Your Pre-Election Post Mortem

RedStateVT presents a preview of the headlines that the non-Fox media will be reporting on November 3rd: if the Republicans fail to win EVERY SINGLE RACE:

Tea Party drags down Republicans

Republican dilemma: what to do with Tea Party now

Voters reject extreme candidates

Catastrophe avoided, Obama gets back to business

Voters to Republicans: not so fast

Obama vows to improve communication

A wiser Obama says “hope and change” still alive

Well, In That Case
“We have done things that some folks don’t even know about,” Barack Obama to Jon Stewart.

Please enlighten us.

Booked
Dinesh D’Souza’s recent book – “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” – was roundly panned by the Left for his theory that Obama Jr. learned anti-colonialism from Obama Sr. Now comes James T. Kloppenberg with “Reading Obama: Dreams, Hopes, and the American Political Tradition.” Given the title, you know where this is going…

…the philosophy that has guided President Obama most consistently is pragmatism…Pragmatism maintains that people are constantly devising and updating ideas to navigate the world in which they live; it embraces open-minded experimentation and continuing debate. “It is a philosophy for skeptics, not true believers,” Mr. Kloppenberg said. (NYT, 10/28/10)

Somehow “pragmatist” is not the word that comes to mind when RedStateVT considers Obama’s worldview.
