Taking Aim

Straightened Out
There have now been 25 straight months of jobs gains in the United States, but the increases have been barely large enough to absorb people entering the work force. A queue of about 12 million unemployed people remain waiting for work, about two out of five of whom have been out of a job for more than six months. That is in addition to more than eight million people who are working part-time but really want full-time jobs. (NYT, 11/2/2012)

And several days before, the New York Times endorses 'more-of-the-same Obama.' Not too late for a retraction!

Mitt Romney: "This is not what a real recovery looks like."

Famously
For more than a decade, Mr. Axelrod and Mr. Obama have formed one of the most famous partnerships in presidential politics, like those of Karl Rove and George W. Bush, Michael K. Deaver and Ronald Reagan, and James A. Farley and Franklin D. Roosevelt. (NYT, 11/2/2012)

NYT: Axelrod, hard-hitting, protecting the president's legacy, keeper of the narrative. Rove: dark and nefarious, secretive, manipulative....

Missing
The scope of Mr. Obama’s changes is easy to miss in part because he has used incremental, even moderate, means to achieve liberal ends. (NYT, 10/26/2012)

No wonder RedStateVT missed Obama's changes. They have been so.....moderate.

Battle Lines
The battle for Senate control is proving just as hard-fought as the one for the presidency, though with one notable difference. President Obama is making the case for himself; Senate Democratic candidates are making the case against him. If next Wednesday Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid remains top dog, it will be because many Democratic candidates won by running as Republicans. (Kimberley A. Strassel, WSJ, 11/1/2012)

A story completely ignored by the Liberal media which in a past election delighted in discussing on a daily basis how Bush was not being asked to campaign by fellow Republicans.
