RedStateVT Endorses

RedStateVT announces today its highly coveted presidential endorsement. We endorse Mitt Romney.

In our view, there are a plethora of issues that one can examine: the economy, job creation, national defense, Israel, taxes, etc. But in the end it comes down to one: ACCOUNTABILITY. Obama has not been an effective president and has not earned a second term. At the start of his term, Obama specifically chose not to focus on the most pressing issue - the economy. He threw billions at an ill-conceived stimulus which either rewarded his supporters or was squandered. (Obama himself laughed at his own previous promise of 'shovel-ready jobs' showing his disdain for the country.) This allowed him to pivot to healthcare where he rammed through a hugely unpopular healthcare plan.

The president must be held accountable and he must be defeated. Will it happen? We do not know, simply because one of the single most pernicious attributes of modern Liberalism which has crept into the culture is just the opposite: lack of accountability. Lead a life of crime? Not your fault, it's society that has failed you! Not able to provide for yourself? Not your fault, society will provide for you! Can't pay your mortgage or your debts? Not your fault, you were cheated by dishonest businesses! Have sex with a White House intern young enough to be your daughter? Not a problem, you are now the revered senior statesman of the Democrat party! Strong-arm government agencies to lower lending standards for low income borrowers? Blame the other side when the housing market collapsed! And on and on.

A vote for Romney is a vote for ACCOUNTABILITY.

RedStateVT Predictions:

500 point Dow surge with a Romney election.

After Election Day - no matter who wins - the Liberal media will dig into the Benghazi story and will begin to report on the cold, homeless victims of Hurricane Sandy.
