Autonomous UAS and human warriors all make mistakes. Missions fail. Innocents get hurt or die. When a person screws up, he's tried and punished if guilty. Justice is served. You can't, however, take a robot to court. So who would be at fault following an errant drone strike? (AOLNews.com, 9/9/2011)
The expanded use of drone attacks is one of the bright spots of Obama's foreign policy in the Middle East. So, of course, his friends on the Left are concerned that if accidents happen in the fog of war, there will be no one to second guess and prosecute.
