Five, Four, Three

Underscored
As the unconscionable execution of Troy Davis in Georgia last week underscores, the court has failed because it is impossible to succeed at this task. The death penalty is grotesque and immoral and should be repealed. (NYT, 9/26/2011)

Abortion, on the other hand, is a woman's "choice."

According to Liberals, death row is teeming with prisoners who have been falsely accused of killing police officers.

Down By Law
Mr. Obama’s jobs bill would prohibit employers from discriminating against job applicants because they are unemployed.

Under the proposal, it would be “an unlawful employment practice” if a business with 15 or more employees refused to hire a person “because of the individual’s status as unemployed.”
(NYT, 9/26/2011)

A classic tenet of modern Liberalism is to continually look to create new classes of victims that need the protection of government against the evil forces of capitalism.  In this case, Obama gets a two-fer; new victims and perhaps some votes.
