Fellow Travelers Welcome

Ignoring entreaties from Mayor Bob Kiss, Burlington voters on Tuesday emphatically turned down a proposed city tax increase…..Kiss urged voters to support a general city tax increase of up to four cents — the first increase in his five years in office — to close a budget gap of $1.4 million. That question failed 4,047 to 1,849, with 68 percent voting against the increase. (Burlington Free Press, 3/2/11)

So it turns out that liberals don’t like tax increases either! Well done brothers!
