Insightful Election Result Analysis.....Not

Today the New York Times web site analyzes the results of yesterday's elections and apparently concludes that the biggest story is feuding between Conservatives and Republicans. Those of you who might have thought it was the defeat of two candidates that President Obama campaigned for must be wrong....

Meanwhile, we are again reminded that Dede Scozzafava is a "moderate" Republican. Under this definition, RedStateVT concludes that Corporal Bernie Sanders must fit the profile of a "moderate" Democrat.

The Times also reports: "As they assessed the results, Democratic lawmakers and party strategists said their judgment was that voters remained very uneasy about the economy and did not see Democrats producing on the health, energy and national security changes they promised when voters swept them to power only a year ago." So those of you who interpreted the defeat of Democrat gubernatorial candidates as a rejection of Obama's policies are also apparently wrong.... The results instead should be interpreted as voter frustration that Obama and his party have not passed health care, cap and trade, closed Gitmo and retreated in Afghanistan.

You can't make up spin like this.
