When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not your friend...

Grapplers
As Democrats approach the 2014 midterm elections, they are grappling with an awkward reality: Their president’s health care law — passed almost entirely by Democrats — remains a political liability in many states, threatening their ability to hold on to seats in the Senate and the House.

As a result, party leaders have decided on an aggressive new strategy to address the widespread unease with the health care law, urging Democratic candidates to talk openly about the law’s problems while also offering their own prescriptions to fix them. (New York Times, 2/17/2014)

The Democrat party: "We screwed up your healthcare. We can fix it!"

Globally Speaking
The White House science adviser, John P. Holdren, said in a briefing last week: “Scientifically, no single episode of extreme weather, no storm, no flood, no drought can be said to have been caused by global climate change. But the global climate has now been so extensively impacted by the human-caused buildup of greenhouse gases that weather practically everywhere is being influenced by climate change.” (New York Times, 2/17/2014)

So, in other words, climate change does not cause storms, floods or droughts; storms, floods and droughts are caused by climate change. The White House position is now clear.
