Out In The Fields

Game Time
Responding to criticism from some Democratic supporters, President Obama said Monday that attacks on Mitt Romney’s experience at Bain Capital were fair game and that Mr. Romney’s years at the helm of a private equity firm were worthy of serious debate. (NYT, 5/21/2012)

Whereupon Republicans promptly announced that attacks on President Obama's association with his radical preacher were, in fact, now "fair game."

Baneful
Obama is in a similar situation. One of his top bundlers is in fact a managing director at Bain who was an executive at the firm in 2001 at the time that GST Steel went bust. GST Steel is the firm at the center of Obama’s attacks on Romney, whom the campaign has dubbed a “vampire.” Romney had left the firm two years before, so whom is Obama calling a bloodsucker? (Foxnews.com, 5/21/2012)

Whether it's Bain Capital or bullying or dog stories, Team Obama just can't seem to get any traction.

Blow By Blow
Blow, meanwhile, has a column in the Times that intelligent people use as a punchline in regular conversation. (Breitbart.com, 5/22/2012)

We got a good chuckle out of Breitbart's comment above about New York Times columnist Charles Blow, echoing RedStateVT's recent posting on the same topic.
