Trying To Make It Pay

Pharisees
In 2008 the Liberal media had no interest in talking about religion. But for Fox News and Breitbart, no one would have known about President Obama's spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright and the racist black liberation hatred that he preached. Obama said that he had never heard it and was given a pass. Roll forward to 2012 and we have a new found Liberal media interest in Mormonism because of Mitt Romney. And so last night we had (at least) two instances of Liberal commentators mocking the religion. Yes, mocking it. The absolute and utter hypocrisy is unfathomable given that Senate majority leader and Obamacare champion Harry Reid is also...a Mormon. How does Lawrence O'Donnell explain this?

Battle Lines
Democrats See Benefits in Battle on Contraception Access: With the cameras running and the microphones on, Congressional Democrats express outrage over Republican efforts to limit the types of health care that employers have to offer to their workers, particularly contraception. This is a fight Democrats are perfectly pleased to have. (NYT, 2/27/2012)

Apparently in America it is very difficult to obtain birth control. Therefore the country needs Democrats to fight for the "right" to get (free) birth control.

Fill-Up
Passing thought: How about a “Buffett Rule” for gas? The idea would be that people like Warren Buffett pay substantially more at the pump so the rest of us can pay less, or even nothing at all. As it stands right now, somebody who makes $50 million a year pays $4 a gallon, and somebody who makes $30,000 a year also pays $4 a gallon. That’s just not fair to Buffett’s secretary.

To make it fair, the former should be paying about $8,500 a gallon for gas, and the latter nothing. Whaddaya say, Mr. Buffett? …Mr. Buffett? **Written by Doug Powers (MichelleMalkin.com, 2/28/2012)

Seems to us that there are actually many things that we can apply the Buffett Rule to!
