Loyal readers will recall that RedStateVT makes a periodic pilgrimage to the mountaintop to meet with its political mentor – a sage we refer to as The Master. The Master generously shares his vast knowledge with RedStateVT on all aspects of the political debate.
We asked The Master about the 2012 election. Here are his preliminary thoughts. First, he is extremely concerned about the implications of a second Obama term. Unconstrained by the prospect of having to run again, The Master feels that Obama could do serious damage.
And what of the Republican field? The Master feels that it is really too early to speculate, but he likes what he sees of Mitch Daniels and would like to hear more from Tim Pawlenty before stating an opinion.
What about Michelle Bachmann? The Master’s eyes light up and his face breaks into a broad smile. “She is outstanding….tough as nails,” he proclaims.
